Personalized & Customized Leather Bible Covers

Leather Bible covers here are made around your Bible, not only its page size. You choose US Half Letter, A5, US Letter or A4, then type the thickness of the spine into the size box on the product page. If your Bible matches none of the four, you give its width, height and spine instead, and the cover is cut to those numbers.

Strap, snap, slip-on or zipper

The Bible Case and the Bible Cover close with a long leather strap that you wind around the book. The Bible Cover also has a leather bookmark and a pen holder. Bible Cover Classic works like a sleeve: the Bible slides in from the top, and a flap folds over and ties shut. The Bible Rivets Cover snaps closed and keeps a pocket for notes and a pen loop inside the front. Bible Case Vintage is the plainest of them, a slip-on jacket with no strap at all.

If you open your Bible many times a day, winding a strap gets slow. The Zippered Bible Cover opens in one pull, carries by a handle on metal rings and has pockets inside. It comes in two sizes. S holds a Bible up to 11″ tall, 6.7″ wide and 1.9″ thick; M takes one up to 11″ by 7.5″ at the same thickness. When you want to carry more than the Bible, choose the Bible Bag with Shoulder Strap. It is a bag rather than a cover, with a flap pocket on the front and a zipped pocket on the back.

Sizes, including large Bibles

The four standard sizes are page formats, measured on the closed Bible. US Letter and A4 are the largest of them. If your Bible falls between two sizes, or is bigger than A4, order the custom size. The next size up would leave it sliding around inside.

Size Width × height
US Half Letter 5.5 × 8.5 in (14.0 × 21.6 cm)
A5 5.83 × 8.27 in (14.8 × 21.0 cm)
US Letter 8.5 × 11 in (21.6 × 27.9 cm)
A4 8.27 × 11.69 in (21.0 × 29.7 cm)
Custom your Bible's width, height and spine

A cross, a name or your own design

On the strap, snap and slip-on covers you choose a design first. There is a plain front, six layouts (most with a cross, all with room for a name) and your own artwork, uploaded as a file. Then you choose how it is pressed into the leather, blind, in silver or in gold, and write the name or initials in the notes box. The Zippered Bible Cover lists its designs as a product option and also takes laser engraving, which some of those designs need. Nothing here is embroidered.

Colors and leather

Black, Brown, Cognac, Light Cognac and Green are offered on every cover, and the Bible Bag also comes in Burgundy. Crazy Horse, the full-grain leather used here, is waxed: the spine goes lighter where it flexes, and a pale scratch usually disappears under a rubbing finger. A cover made to one spine suits that Bible; a thicker one later may not close in it, so measure the Bible you will keep using. If you are buying for a man, you can also start from leather Bible covers for men.

Questions

How do I measure my Bible for a cover?

Close it and measure three things: the height from top edge to bottom edge, the width from the spine to the front edge, and the thickness of the spine. Give those numbers as they are, without adding room; the cover is made around them.
